Our Mission
Koloa ducks are considered a Federally Listed Endangered Species with only around 700 remaining in the wild. They are the only duck species native to Hawaii. Our mission is to spread awareness and collect donations to support conservation efforts.
The Hawaiian Duck (Koloa Maoli)

The Hawaiian duck is found only on the Hawaiian Islands. Once abundant, their population has drastically decreased over the past couple hundred of years due to habitat loss, invasive predators, and hybridization with non-native mallards. Koloa maoli live and breed in a variety of freshwater wetland habitats. They are opportunistic omnivores; their diet consists of freshwater plants and algae, snails, and insect larvae. Hybridization with mallards, introduced predators (cats and mongooses), and loss of shallow wetlands put these Koloa at risk.
